ICAB enables facilitative leadership through

members learning, practicing and promoting the ICA ToP methods in their ICA and personal activities and interactions with others

introducing new members to the methods and the philosophy behind them, including showing the videos on “The World of Human Development”, ICA books, annual reports, MAP book, manuals

applying the Methods for Active Participation (MAP) in any project work.

Ensuring transparent governance and decision-making

Being facilitative leaders with one another

Learning and using many methods for facilitation besides ToP

ICAB is a team effort

Everyone participates to their fullest capacity in actions and finances
Knowledge is widely shared and everyone actively seeks to be aware of what is being decided and done
Decision making is by consensus among the members
When the board makes a decision it is to implement the consensus of the members.  When the consensus is unclear or unknown, the board seeks information from the members though personal contact phone or email.
The cineraria for paying honorariums or salaries to anyone are consensed on by the members and applied consistently and openly.

ICAB facilitates self-sustaining action among people by
Using its methods to enable people to discover their own abilities and the possibilities present in their own situation.
Facilitating people’s ability to manage their projects and finances for maximum community benefit and leadership development

ICA Bangladesh’s basic approach is transformative.
It does not add anything nor take anything away.  Through ICA facilitation and action fosters human development.  The people it works with discover and enhance their latent abilities, resources and power to make a positive difference in their own and others’ lives. In certain situations ICA is able to provide outside resources to assist communities.  Since its focus is on providing training and facilitation to all who seek it, regardless of their ability to pay it generally has little money of its own to provide other means.  It depends on facilitating the latent abilities of people to find the resources it needs and thus engage in sustainable action.

ICA Bangladesh works on behalf of the planet
A healthy planet requires a healthy Bangladesh. ICA inspires those who meet it to see its activities as part of a planetary movement of care of r all.  It seeks ways to enable people to create justice and sustainability for all people. Members participate in regional and global gatherings to share their vitality, wisdom and learnings with others, and receive the gift of others’ insights and energy.

ICA Bangladesh’ primary mode of operation is to ask questions.
It’s members listen carefully and integrate all responses.  Any proposals it makes come out of careful consideration of the information it receives.
It favours raising questions that stimulate people to discover resources and possibilities, facilitative leadership and creative action. It’s aim is to demonstrate in a practical way that each person and community is capable of creating their own future in a way that can be beneficial to itself and others.

ICA fosters depth awareness in individuals that liberates them to
identify and live their life purpose
know that their life as it is, is good and they are free to decide and act on what’s needed in the world
identify modes of significant and meaningful personal engagement in public affairs
make sense of personal and public experience through the use of practical readily usable methods
